About the photographer: TONY WILMERS
Tony was awarded a Graduate Diploma Of Visual Arts at our College Of Fine Arts.
His studies involved his greatest consuming interest, photography, aided by his reading of 'Stream of Consciousness' literature.
I was involved in a serious car accident in 1996 leaving me with an Acquired Traumatic Brain Injury.
I am unable to hand hold a camera steadily, taking clear shots. I use a special monopod fitted to my wheelchair.
Living with an ABI has been challenging over the years and it is only with supreme effort and support I am able to pick up a camera again after what feels like a lifetime ago.
The invitation to be a part of this project represents a connection with the past and the present, where I am able to pick up a camera and rediscover my love for photography.
